About Us

Metal for Meals is a Michigan non-profit corporation saving scrap metal from landfills and bringing proceeds from scrap metal recycling to local food pantries. Our partnership with Padnos Recycling allows us to dispatch collection containers to local businesses, manufacturing facilities, and community driven locations to allow both businesses and the public to toss in their scrap metal for the cause. We are looking to expand the project so we can help feed those in need all across the state. The Corporation has applied for a determination of its exempt status as a Section 501(c)(3) organization.

Box Collection

Consider our boxes for indoor collection locations. Toss in the scrap metal from your business, school or community gathering place until the box is full. Notify our team that the box is ready for pickup, and we'll get it transported to our recycler. Finally, let us know when you're ready for the next box!

  • 41” High x 40” Wide x 48” long Gaylord box - Height is 6” taller sitting on pallet

  • 6’ High x 5’ 4” Wide x 12’ long 14 cubic yard Lugger box

Rolloff Collection

Rolloff dumpsters are best for community metal drives and locations with space for the container to remain for a single or multi-day event.

At 7’ High x 7’ Wide x 22’ long, it's the larger container at most collection and demo sites. Trucks need an additional 40 ft in front of the box to allow it to “Rolloff” the trailer
